    Plaster spraying machines are used to apply plaster as well as other different types of decorative wall coatings in the construction industry. The benefits of using a plaster sprayer, instead of the traditional method of applying plaster by hand, are that a far greater meterage can be covered in a shorter time period which is obviously economically beneficial and also less labour intensive.

    Types of Plaster Sprayers

    Air fed hopper spray guns use a gravity fed hopper, positioned on top of the pistol, to introduce the material and can be used to apply thinner coats of plaster and other types of decorative wall coatings. These plaster sprayers are ideal for applying a finishing coat of around 1mm to plaster boards and pre-prepared walls. Screw spray pumps are a compact machine capable of applying thicker coats of plaster and are therefore ideal for levelling up. They can also spray a range of other materials; spray mortars and cement based coatings, finish plasters and waterproofing render, heavy bodied coatings and fireproofing. These plaster sprayers use the mono pump principle with a worm drive to spray the material. Being a heavy machine with a large hopper, electric motor and pump drive they are usually on wheels to improve portability. Larger versions of this machine, working on the same principle, are used to spray concrete, a process called Gunite which is used for the construction of swimming pools and other reinforced structures.
